| 03 MCS Pure Silver / Blk | We are getting in registration forms and payments from people all over North America and parts of Europe and Asia. For those of you planning on attending but have not yet made hotel reservations, I encourage you to do it soon. The arrangements we made with two hotels (one in San Francisco on Fisherman's Wharf and the other in the East Bay area) will expire on July 5th. That doesn't mean if you don't make reservations by then that there will be no available hotel rooms, it just means that you may not get them at the same location for the same "discounted" price and you may have to do a little additional homework finding accommodations. Please bear in mind though, that as we approach September, rooms in San Francisco will become increasingly difficult to find, especially if you plan to arrive early, since this is the weekend following Labor Day. Because this is not a hotel based event, you can stay pretty much anywhere you want in the area so long as you are within short driving distance to San Francisco. I recommend staying within San Francisco borders because of the availability of bus transportation on and off the island about every 20 minutes... you can leave your car parked there all night to avoid costly hotel parking. ![]() As you know, we will be having a Beatles Tribute band playing Saturday night until 10pm, with the San Francisco skyline as the backdrop for the band. We are working on getting another band for Friday Night... not any specific genre, but just good music playing as registrants continue to roll in... kind of a pre-party before the bash. We will post details as they develop. |

| 03 MCS Pure Silver / Blk | Early (discounted) event registration expires July 31. Registration goes up to $150.00 on August 1 (all other prices remain the same). Even at $150.00, this is still a great deal compared to other regional and national events. Please register now if you plan on participating. Shirts will be ordered on July 31 and there will not be many extras ordered. |

Offline | Some updates for the Magical Mystery Mini Tour: We will be ending our "regular" registration as of July 31, 2008. If you register and pay before then it will cost you $100 per Mini and $30 for additional persons for all driving events, dinner, and concert. You will be able to "late-register" after that , but the registration fee will be an extra $50 per Mini. Still a great deal for the event. We needed to do this to encourage those who are planning to attend to go ahead and register NOW. The cost for programs, goodie-bags, t-shirts, swag, dinners, etc. all depend on quantity and we need to get some of these in production now so they are ready in early Sept. We have added another band to play on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. The "Cartunes" will be playing. If you still need to get hotel accomodations, please do so NOW. One of the packages is still available. Please check the hotel thread or go to magicalmysteryminitour.com for details. Sorry for not keeping up with posting information, we have a home up in Shasta that has been threatened by widefires the past several weeks. Our home was almost taken by fire. We just got over the evacuation orders. Quite a distraction from Mini events. Here's a link to the photos we took during the ordeal: http://s349.photobucket.com/albums/q...e%20July%2011% Cheers, Norm |

Offline | Norm, I'm glad to hear that your family and your home are OK. It's already been a bad fire summer. We're expecting some of your action up here before fall arrives. |

| 03 MCS Pure Silver / Blk | Here is good news for those of you that have been dragging your feet! Because of recent announcements from both Mini Mania and Moss Motors promoting the Magical Mystery Mini Tour, and extensions for the "final number of participants" given to us from our vendors; we have extended the cut-off date for registration of $100 per car until August 20th. Therefore you can continue registering using our dedicated web site until then. After August 20th, advance registrations will no longer be accepted online but registration will be allowed at the door on the days of the event as space allows. The cost of "at the door" registration will be posted shortly. Only cash payments will be accepted on the day of the event. Unfortunately the tee shirt order has to be placed today (August 1st) so there will be no more pre-ordering of the event tee shirts. I will have some additional tee shirts available on Treasure Island but they will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Supplies will intentionally be limited since I want them all sold before the event is over. The tee shirt option has been removed from the downloadable registration and PayPal forms. I look forward to seeing you all having fun on this exciting weekend! |

Offline | Are they going to try and seat us all together? Is there a final date it has to be in or is this just essentially the same as buying tickets to any Giants game? Sorry I'm not trying to be difficult I just don't know how many tickets I'm going to need yet. If it's just a case of buying tickets to a game I can do that right up to the last mintue, but if there is some special "Mini-Magical-Mystery Tour seating or price or something I don't want to miss out by being too late. |

| 03 MCS Pure Silver / Blk | The Giants organization has arranged to seat MMMT participants together, I assume at a slightly reduced rate. Honestly, I have no idea how many participants are going since you register directly with the Giants. I know many will opt to stay on Treasure Island Friday night since we have an additional band entertaining participants and vendor booths will be open. |

Offline | Magical Mystery Mini Tour 2008 San Francisco There will be a lot of Mini-MINI clubs represented at MMMT on Treasure Island! Thanks to everyone that has signed up. You’ll help make this a great success! Just so you know, registration has been extended to August 20th at the same $100 per car price. There will be no additional online registrations accepted after August 20, although day of event registration may be allowed if space permits. I want everyone to know that club members will be able to park together throughout the weekend. We will assign locations for clubs represented with "at-large attendees mixed between the clubs. Clubs will also be able to set up club tent type booths and post banners to promote their clubs at no cost if they desire, if manned by paid registrants. Club booths will be able to be set up either in the parking lot or near the vendor’s village on the grass depending on space restraints. We will determine that on Thursday when we are doing our final "set-up" touches. Register at magicalmysteryminitour.com |

So Saturday only pre-registration is now available until August 20th. Payment options will be included on the PayPal site by 10pm tonight. Day of Event Registration (price is per person, not per car) includes all events and concert: * Friday: $20 per person / children 10 & under free * Saturday: $50 per person / children under 10: $20 - bring your own food or buy from vendors. Offline | MMMT Update Just a few updates: If you plan on going to the Giants game of Friday night, please call Matt Peterson @ 415-972-2247 to get the group ticket package. If you have already made arrangements and bought tickets, please re-confirm with him as well. Apparently Matt Allen who we made the arrangements with in no longer with the Giants and may not have passed along this information. I will be contacting the group sales office on Monday and post any additional information. Schedule: On Saturday we will have two versions of the Golden Gate Bridge/Mt. Tam run. One shorter and one longer. The shorter version will return to Treasure Island around noon so those that are going on the Andretti Winer Tour & Tasting will have time to get there by 2PM. The other route will continue up the coast including Pt. Reyes and will return to TI about 4PM. This is for the ones that want to get their driving in. Sunday morning we will have our sunrise bonfire and beach breakfast, followed by our "Steve McQueen Memorial Run" through San Francisco. We will then offer the Santa Cruz Mountain Run. For those that want to drive a longer version of the Santa Cruz area, we will have a run map available for that as well. Al Gordon has planned a lunch for Sunday during the Santa Cruz Mountain run. We will need to get a head count for that by Aug 28th. SO if you plan to take that run, please let me know. Club Parking & Signs: We will be setting up parking areas for clubs. We have members from the following clubs registered: DMC (Dynamic Mini Collective) Emerald Mini Club (OR) Mavericks (CA) Metroplex (Texas) Mid Cal MINIs (CA) Mini Club of Calgary (Canada) Mini5280 (CO) MMMC (Michigan) MOALA (Mini Owners of America LA) MOASF (Mini Owners of Americal SF) Nor Cal MINIs (CA) OMS (Oregon Mini Sociery) PDX Orgeon PS Mini (Seattle WA) SCMM (So. Cal Mini Maniacs) Sierra Nevada Mini Club (NV) Sin City Mini Club (NV) Sota Minis (MN) Umpaqua Mini Club (OR) West Coast Minis (CA) We are still getting registrations and have not entered all that we have received so far, but if I have left off your club, please let me know so I can add you to the list. We welcome clubs to bring their tents or booths and banners. This will prove to be a nice place for your members to meet up, leave messages, or just hang out. We have the following states represented. AZ, CA, CO, IA, MI, MN, NV, OR, TX, WA and Calgray Canada, Great Britain, and Zushi Japan. Our friends from Italy had to cancel with regrets. Looking forward to seeing all of you on Treasure Island. Cheers, __________________ |

| 03 MCS Pure Silver / Blk | MINI of San Francisco has been gracious and just sent an email to about 50,000 people on their mailing list announcing the Magical Mystery Mini Tour. In fairness to those hearing about this event for the first time, we are extending registration from August 20 to August 31. As mentioned in my earlier posts, we have come up with a single day policy for new registrants. Obviously, if you want to attend Saturday only, that is the day that has the bulk of our costs. So Saturday only pre-registration is now available until August 31st. Saturday Only Registration will include access for one car and one banquet ticket. All events on Saturday are included as well as access to the concert. Cost $80.00. Each additional dinner ticket is $30.00. - This is available as a pre-event registration only and payment must be received by August 31st. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day of Event Registration (price is per person, not per car) includes all events except the winery tour, baseball game, banquet and breakfast:

| 03 MCS Pure Silver / Blk | Wow what a weekend! What an event! Thank you to all that helped make this a huge success by attending and supporting the Northern California Mini-MINI Community . With all the runs and off-site activities, there was no way to easily determine how successful this was until the cars starting filling up the parking lot for the banquet dinner Saturday night followed by the live concert by the Sun Kings. We have an unofficial count of over 350 cars in the parking lot in the early evening, but the lot continued to fill after dark during the concert. There was no evening fog and just slight cool breeze making the San Francisco skyline a sparkling backdrop for the band. About $7000 worth of merchandise and services were awarded as door prizes during the banquet dinner, between sets at the concert, and on Sunday morning just before the Santa Cruz Mountains run. If you missed the Magical Mystery Mini Tour, you truly missed a one of a kind event! To see the growing Photo Album, see Photo albums. |
