Charity European Car Show- May 4th

Hi Nor-Cal Mini Owners.

My company is putting on our 11th annual charity car show on May 4th at Twin-Creeks sports complex in Sunnyvale. This year we are having a special Mini presentation and would like to invite all of you out to our show. We will have one complete baseball diamond just for the Minis.

We are looking for any help in running this section of the show. Our last two shows were held at Moffett Field at Hanger one. While the last 10 years of shows have been just VW-Audi we are now opening the show to other makes and the Mini is the first one. Our plans are to expand this each year to cover the most popular European makes.

With our new location we can hold up to 1000 show cars as well as 2000 plus spectator parking spots. Our show is a pure charity show and my company is not financially involved. We are looking to form a non-profit corporation in the future to produce the show for years to come.

We had an autocross last year and hope to have it again next year. We also have a Speedring party the night before and would be fun to have a Mini group to challange the VW/Ausi owners.

It is amazing to see how much the VW/Audi owners love the Minis and more and more are buying one. Our shows are family type shows and are not your typical import shows many of us do not care for. Our new location with a playground and batting cages is much more family based.

If anyone would like to jump in and run the Mini show please drop me a note. We are working on getting lots of press coverage and we usually have 20-30 vendors and lots of prizes given away.

Thanks

New Dimension's Rocks!!!

Sorry to say that I sold my 1.8t and am waiting for my Cooper S, but I will be at the show. We still have my girlfiend's VR6, so we can continue to shop at ND. The show is fun, and you guys put on a quality show. Your company has great people working for it and have an excellent sale, too!

Thanks so much for the kind words. Well we are doing limited Mini work at this time. Mostly mods but will expand into services and repair.

It is so great to hear your comments on our show. One of my goals in doing this show was to keep it well organized. I have been to many shows and know how it feels to go to a unorganized one. This years should be great as the location is perfect for a car show.

Thanks again and hope to see you at the show.

Update ! !
We apologize to all of you for the long it's taken for a new update on the show, but many new things are being worked out!
First off, Id like to welcome several new sponsors to the show. Futrell Autowerks from Hillsbourgh OR has joined us at Gold level sponsorship, along with Toyo Tires coming in at Silver with Audiworld and VWVortex. We also like to welcome the staff of Dubwars, and JSW Insurance for their participation.

Over the past month we have been working out the details of a number of things, one being our Speedring event. For this year, we have chosen to run a slightly smaller 2-hour event, but it will surely be big fun once again. Please visit the Speedring information section for the details and to register.

We have started to see a number of registrations to roll in for the show, but they are coming in slowly. We cant express enough how important it is to pre-register. We need to have a good idea prior to the show of how many will be coming so we can appropriately make room and organize things to run smooth on the day of the show. Please register soon, don't wait to the last minute. Registration for the show ends on April 27. Most likely we will allow registration on the day of the show, but space will be limited so register now!

Please also not that this is a show for ALL cars VW, Audi and MINI. We want to see you out there with your daily driver! Don't be shy, the show is not just for "show" cars that ride around on trailers. All cars are welcomed, and in fact, most that attend thoroughly enjoy seeing a nice daily driver (regardless if its stock and fresh of the lot…).

We are also soon to announce out entertainment for the show, There will be two or three local acts performing the latest electronic sounds along with KSCU 103.3 Dance Systems DJ Kenny and DJ Matt.

Also just announced, all Car show participants will be entered into a special raffle (prize yet to be determined, but it will be a good one). This raffle will be by car number and will be only for those entered in the show. Be sure to register! Don't leave your sweet VW or Audi or MINI in the parking Lot!

Stay tuned, more to come!

I can't wait to see other MINIs, please sign up MINI folks, we can't let all the VW/Audi cover MINI. I think it will be a good time for us to meet together and talk about the MINIs Club. I hope to see you there

I am planning to attend the show. Should I actually put my cooper S on the "show"? It is brand new and very very stock. I don't want to look silly.

Put it in the show. I don't want to have to walk through the parking lot to see the Minis.
I am putting my bone stock Audi in the show with my VWs.
