Offline | Schlick, How long do you think it will take to go from Crystal Springs to Big Basin park? We drove part of this route last weekend and I was surprised at the amount of traffic heading west on 92 in the afternoon. It was a great day so this was probably not typical. Of course we will be heading back(east)by then anyway. Life is short! Why drive a boring car?! Indi blue/white Cooper;Sport & Premium packages. |

Offline | Hi All I just wanted to mention that Big Basin does not have a place that sells food as far as I know. In Boulder Creek there is a place called the Redwood Keg Liquor & Deli, it is right on Hwy 9 on the left as you get to town. It might be a good idea to stop and pick up something before heading to the park. They make a killer Tri-Tip sandwich. See you all there, Bob |

| MINI2 Regular | The traffic builds up on 92 almost every weekend that is half way decent. The later you go, the worse it is. If we leave right between 10:00 and 10:30 we should be alright. We could do it earlier, but that is unfair to the folks that are coming from farther away. Once we get on Highway 1 I would guess that it'll take around an hour maybe hour and a half to get to the park. Depends on traffic, speed, weather, things like that. Good point about getting something to munch on before heading into the park. Anyone from the Southbay want to meet up and caravan over to Crystal Springs? |

Offline | Just one more thought. If we are not in a hurry to get to Big Basin it might be fun to stop at Cameron's Pub just south of Half Moon Bay for some photos. It's a British Pub on Hwy 1 and they have a couple of the old double decker buses and London cab's. Bob |

Offline | Well done, schlick. Now that we have the route we can concentrate on getting as many people as possible to show up. If it doesn't rain (dare I mention it?) it should be a great drive. I don't see any problem with westbound traffic on Hwy 92 at 10:30 A.M. |

Offline | I'll have my car in the shop next week for it's 20k service so I'm not sure if I can make this meet. If all goes well I should be there. Where does everyone want to meet up for the South Bay caravan? Valco (280 & Wolfe) De Anza College (280 & 85)?? | MINI2 Regular | slight change in plan everyone. The meeting spot will be on Canada Road. Once you are on 92 right after the junction with 280, it will be on the left. There is plenty of shoulder there for us, on both sides of the road. We can get back onto 92, so this is perfect. Valco sounds good for the South Bay caravan. how does a departure from in front of sears at 9:15 at the latest sound? |

Offline | Moved from Burlingame in the 60's, so don't know if it's still there, but isn't there a pretty big parking lot at Temple de las Pulgas?? Nice backdrop for photo at the start. Cooper S Red/White/White, Air, Computer, Cloth, DSC, Cold Weather. August build. |
