Offline | Dinlo, you're one cool driver if you only learned stick shift 3 weeks ago and were hitting 65-70mph at Pt. Reyes. Way to go. In spite of the weather, the route was beautiful and those brave souls who came out for the drive were rewarded. One thing though, on the return trip we were driving too fast going through Inverness. Did you notice the people there raising up their arms in exasperation? 45-50 mph in a 25 mph zone is a no-no. |

Offline | Hey guys, Great ride as always. I thought the rain would be too much to drive in but it just added to the whole experience. Again, I met alot of new people so excited about their MINI's and that's always alot of fun. Sorry my GPS didn't find the right road out of Pt. Reyes. Next time I'll actually program the road in so that we don't miss out on the fun way out of there. Also, to zgocart, sorry about speeding around town. It was an unfamiliar place and we all had to merge to get on the right road out of there. With all that traffic, it was very difficult to merge without being a little aggressive. Sorry again. Well, I'll try to upload the Pic's I took to My Gallery so you all can check them out, but I didn't take a whole lot this time, cause I was concentrating on the road, but check them out! Thanks for the FUN!!! DS/DS MCS, Sport Package, Nav Sys, Rogue Engineering Stripes http://www.mini2.com/gallery/personal/dldds/mysig2.jpg |

Offline | Pt. Reyes drive was awesome! Thanks to all for the great company, scenery, food, fun, and the great pictures! This newbie MINI owner had a blast. The rain and downed power line just made it more of an adventure. I can understand everyone's zeal to motor, but I'm glad that I'm not the only one who felt we were going somewhat fast around town. On one hand, I wanted to stay with the leaders (so I wouldn't get lost!), but on the other hand I didn't want to rile any locals, hold back cars behind me, or get any points put on my drivers license! (I want to be able to go on MANY more MINI drives with you all!) Dinlo, great driving for just three weeks of stick shifting! The downside is that an automatic will never be the same again. I know you'll deal with it though. Looking forward to joining all of you again. A big THANKS to everybody! ![]() |

Offline | On the NorCal MINI club thread RedRocket in Pebble Beach is looking for people to do a run down Route 1. I will be in Texas from 4-20 to 4-28 but perhaps a run down Route 1 could be set up for early May. |

Offline | Well Folks, sorry to say that once again I missed a MINI drive.DAMN!! Misread our racing schedule and well...believe it or not; I was out on the bay sailing while you were driving! I thought the race was next weekend. The real burn is they cancelled the race after we set sail! Lighting, water and sailboat masts are not a good recipe. Well, when is the NEXT run? Life is short! Why drive a boring car?! Indi blue/white Cooper;Sport & Premium packages. |

Offline | Many thanks to zgocart, schlick, and Larry for putting this together. Best fun I've had in the rain in years! Such an amazing car that even in the rain it handles like a dream. Less than 2 weeks to the Mt. Diablo run for more MINI driving fun... BTW, thanks to everyone for the pictures! - 2002 MINI Cooper 'S' 1965 Morris Mini Traveller |

Offline | Larry- I'll be driving the MINI to Mt. Diablo. One of the great benefits about having a Mini and a MINI is that I can take the MINI to events that are further from home like San Jose or Vancouver! Can't wait to see the Sprite! zgocart- are you posting your images in your gallery on MINI2 or what is the link to your home page? Looking forward to seeing more pictures of the day. - 2002 MINI Cooper 'S' 1965 Morris Mini Traveller |
