| MINI2 Regular | I am thinking we should do this towards the end of March, that should give us plenty of time to get this together. |

Offline | I would like to join too...!! count me in, plz...!! May I ask some question?(bcz i am too lazy to check other forum^^) 1. I tracked my MINI on MINIUSA.COM..It shows "Estimated delivery date: March 11. Does that mean I can pick up my car on that day ? 2. According to your experience...Do we have to limit the speed before 3000 miles for purpose warming up the engine? Pardon me for asking the stupid questions...^^ |

Offline | Welcome MINIHTH Usually the dealership will hold the car for a few days to chech it out, they will give you a call when it is ready for pickup. As far as a break in period it is recommended that you take it easy for the first 1200 miles. BLCUPA |

Offline | march run How about going by Mt Tam then alpine lake we would have to go a little on the early side to avoid traffic. The road on the north side is made for MINI's. You can head up the coast from there or inland. Welcome britsf I'm over in ptown say hi if you see a indie blue/white cooper flying by |

Offline | britsf, Are you the nice fellow I met at East Bay MINI's parts counter? I was buying a stuffed Bulldog for my wife. You recommended Mines Road for a MINI meet drive. We did that road in late Feb. and 36 MINIs showed up! I (we) are in your debt. It was a great drive. I'll buy you a pint at our next meet OR perhaps some BBQ oysters if we go to Bodega Bay. David Life is short! Why drive a boring car?! Indi blue/white Cooper;Sport & Premium packages. |

Offline | OK this is what I get for opening my mouth. Where do we want to end up ? If were going to Pt Reyes in April we should try other roads this time. There is a pretty good parkng lot at the top of Mt Tam and the view is incredible if its clear do we want to see it ? And how about lunch I say lets fire up the BBQ at a nice park and have a cool one. How about Samuel Taylor state park ? I'll bring the coals. And Danny were ever you are I did that brake light modification. Thanks its much brighter. ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | Here's is a tentative plan guys: Date: March 23rd Crissy field as main meeting place before heading over into Marin between 9-9:30am. Cruise on up to Mt. Tam. Hang out there for however long, time is not an issue at this point. From there go to Samuel P. Taylor State Park for BBQ lunch. For the lunch portion, bring what you want to eat, coals will be provided. I wouldn’t rely on the Parks to have very much available as far as food goes. South Bay folks, meet up at Vallco Mall and leave at the latest 8am, a little bit earlier would probably better but we can decide as a group. I will work on getting a route and maps together in the next couple days, assuming this plan sounds good. If it does work, I’ll call ahead to both Mt. Tam and SPT State Park and make arrangements for more parking and what not. Hopefully they don’t blow it like the Big Basin rangers did. I hope for a turn out as good or better than the last meet which was around 25 or so cars, and hopefully with some new faces. We need to continue to get people excited about these drives and ultimately about the club. Any drives or events that we do between now and April are very important in order to have the fun(d) drive on April that Dennis Lutz (zgokart) has worked so hard on organizing up to this point, to be as successful as possible. I look forward to seeing everyone again and hopefully some new faces as well, and here’s to another fun day on the back roads of NorCal! Here are the links for the proposed sites we will be stopping/meeting at. Crissy Field http://www.crissyfield.org/html/cfc-prog/index.html Mt. Tam http://www.parks.ca.gov/default.asp?page_id=471 http://www.mttam.net/index.html Samuel P. Taylor State Park http://www.parks.ca.gov/default.asp?page_id=469 |

Offline | Sounds like a great plan, I live in Sausalito and would like to jump on the caravan as it passes through, (so I don't have to go over the Breidge then back out again); or I could meet you on Mt. Tam. What time will you be through Sausalito, can you drive through downtown Sausalito, down Bridgeway, I could jump in there. |
