Blue Cooper FastTRAK placement on your MINI?

So after WAY too many minutes wasted queued up at the tollbooth waiting to get onto the Bay Bridge I have ponied up for a FastTRAK transponder. Yeah!
But so placing it on the front windshield mucks too much with the 'look' so I was thinking of the second sunroof glass pane , I assume the toll reader will pick it up there fine. ....anyone else put it there and have good luck with the bridges?
Do a lot of Bay Area MINI's have FT and has anyone find any better places for it? [Since its white, and my roof (and glass obviously) is black I also was thinking of inking it with marker - there goes my deposit! ]

Anyways, I'll give it a try and post the results of how smooth it goes!

I've got mine on the forward, left hand corner of the dash right in front of me. You can still see it of course, but it doesn't really attract any attention there to my mind. Works just fine there.

hmmn, you attached it to the dash itself, an not the glass? I think that would be preferrable than onto the glass itself

Right. It works for me (and Caltrans apparently).

Can you please post a picture of it? I want to get one for my MCS too. I hate to stop for the tool. I had one in my Expedition, but it get a BIG blass, it didn't bother me at all, but MINI is such a small glass, I don't want to look too bad.

Thanks

I don't have a picture handy, but I did the same as Sejanus . . . I used some industrial grade black Velcro on the far left forward corner of the dash, and placed the FasTrack transponder with standard Velcro on top. Works fine every time.

Camera is busted at the moment, but I'll see what I can do. Mom put in the same place in her new car as well.

This has nothing to do with FasTrak. I just noticed that
Sejanus a moderator for this forum!!

Suppose we'd better watch our language or he will be extorting a few pints from us at the next MINI run!!!

Life is short! Why drive a boring car?!

Yeah! God help you all! Anyway, if anyone has any questions, problems, etc, be sure to let me know.

Oh and I found a FastTrak photo. I'll post it tomorrow.

Yeah, that's pretty much where I have mine as well. Sorry about not posting a photo myself, I tried, but couldn't get it to upload properly.
