NorCal MINIS Club logo

We are making good progess in getting the club organized and it is time again for the great logo debate. At the last get together we had we decided to have anyone and everyone that wanted to submit a logo for the club. At the next meeting we have, some time in May we plan on putting all logos up and decide which one we like best. We ask that you post you logos here, with a brief explanation as to why you did it (your insperation or any meaning behind the logo) and also a good way to get in contact with you if your logo is chosen.

As soon as a run for May has been put together information will be posted on that. As long as you have your logo submited the day before the event it will be considered. The events we do are the best place to have your voice heard as far club stuff goes, so if it is possible for you to join us, please do, we've had nothing but fun so far!

Can't wait to see what all you creative people are able to come up with!

I hope everyone is busy on designing a logo for the club and that's why nobody has posted a reply. I know I'm trying to work on one but I'm not a graphic designer by far so if you are or know of someone who can do a bang up job, please post a sample. We would all love to see all your ideas! Have fun with it!!!

Logo

Sorry about the silence on the logo -- I've been slammed at work!

All the logo's that follow are very rough and to be used as guides for discussion - I particularly need to spend time on an illustration of the MINI…

Also, do we want the logo to feel more tradtional, more contemporary or more auto-racing? I've got some in most of these directions but all comments are welcomed!

This first one echoes the MINI logo and is more traditional.

South Africa Further logo's

Those certainly are good explorations, and would fall into the "more traditional club logo" category. I would like to see how they would be treated in a single color, which will be a factor for cost, embroidery etc.

Below are some more explorations for review and comment, I've included a color and single color version of most of them. In terms of the colors used - I've kept it really simple - again for cost considerations - and used orange since it seems to be a favorite color of the MINI marketing team as well as not being a specific car color. It is also almost as eyecatching as red.

I haven't yet addressed how they would be treated as a light color on dark, I'll do those versions when / if we decide to develope any of these further.

As always, comments welcomed - I'm not shy or offended if anybody or everybody thinks they s**k!

South Africa Another logo

Seems to be a problem with that file - Sorry! But I'm sure you all get the idea of how it could be used.

This one is a little further out
