| MINI2 Regular | Nice job Larry, I was at Concord MINI today and asked around a little bit, but didn't get very far with them supporting the club...YET. I'll stay after then and see what comes about. I'm looking forward to this run...it should be a good one! 02 MCS Dk Silver & Black, Tinted, Bra, BMP Strut Brace, K&N Typhoon Intake, Magnaflow |

| MINI2 Regular | If anyone feels up to it, MINI of Mountain View should be approached by someone in the group. I would do it, but with my past experiences with them, probably wouldn't be the best person to do it, but if nobody wants to I can at least give it a shot. |

| MINI2 Master / Moderator | I talked to Mt. View MINIs, they said they will help us out, but have not really sit down and talk to them yet, but I talked to the customer relation manage (Nancy) she is more than happy to promote our club to their new customer, I also left some NorCal MINIs card at there. I will contact them again and ask Rod(Parts Dept.) for more details. Once the web and the club is set, I will go out and get more sponsor. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Offline | In order to keep the logistics as simple as possible, I feel two meeting places would be enough. Everybody in the northbay or Sacto area would have to drive south anyway, and would be close to intersecting with either Eastbay MINI or Vallco. Vallco could be the final meeting point since that location is closest to our destination. Any comments Larry? |

Offline | Do you have a route planned yet? I live south of San Jose and I might be able to meet up with you as you travel toward Big Sur. I don't mind traveling to Vallco but I would enjoy the extra hours sleep. If you wanted to come down the East side of the Santa Cruz mountains, west of Morgan Hill, San Martin and Gilroy ... Vallco - 280 south - Guadalupe Prkwy south - Santa Theresa exit - right on Coleman - left on Almaden Expwy - dead end of Expwy right on Harry - left on McKean - right on Watsonville Rd. - right on Hwy 152 - over the hill by Mt. Madonna Inn - down into Watsonville - right on 129 - south on 1 to Big Sur. Time from Almaden Expwy to Watsonville, about 1-hour. Go by 2-reservoir (Calero & Uvas)- nice twisty roads - 3 or 4 wineries - before Mt. Madonna there is a nice Redwood grove. Something to think about. Offline | dinlo, I think this should be a poker run. The best five poker hands gets the prizes. The top hand gets first choice and so on. What do you folks think? Battleship Grey Metallic/B/B MCS with every option known to man/BMW less CD changer and NO car problems. |

| MINI2 Regular | I would vote against doing the poker thing, for a couple reasons but mostly because the people that will have to organize it have about 4 days now. This is a definate possibility for our next run or at least future runs though. I did a predrive of a route we could use, didn't care to much for it. The majority of the roads we would be going on are very small two lane or 1 1/2 lanes at best, not so cool with two way traffic. I've got another route to use, trying to go through the SC mountains if possible, I always have fun blasting through there. If it works, the route suggested by DrkSlvrS sounds interesting! I will post my findings in the next couple of days. |

Offline | I agree with the raffle to raise funds for the club - maybe the poker hands can be to decide the driver order in the fast group… ;-P I've driven the route suggested by DrkSlvrS with my boss in an Expedition - it would be a blast in the MINI! Lets do it! Dark Silver S,White roof, Sunroof, Sport and Premium, #80 |

Offline | Just wanted to comment that the route proposed by DrkSlvrS that cuts through West of Morgan Hill on McKean/Uvas Road is very desirable: minimal traffic in the am hours, and a kick to drive. I live off a side street on that route in a canyon - a major reason I got a MINI ![]() You will encounter a few narrow bridges... and maybe a few bicyclist on the road... ENJOY! | MINI2 Regular | Sounds like we have a route of choice, just came back from Monterey, the Salinas Rodeo is this weekend which would toss out my other idea of a way to go. See you all on Saturday, there will be lots of new and exciting news about the club, would is exciting all on its own. |
