Offline | MiniMania Open House On a beautiful day, MiniMania's open House was visited by a large contingent of MINI Coopers, Minis, Morris Minors, and one MG-TD. Borla's representative was there to answer questions about their exhaust systems, and there was a workshop on the Mini SU carb. Compared to last year, when I saw no more than 7 MINIs, there was perhaps three times that many this time, with perhaps half of them being MCS models. Some were extensively modified. Notable absence were the many Bay Area and East Bay regulars who have come to our rides. I think MiniMania's annual Open House is going to get better and better as more owners become familiar with the performance upgrade options and nice accessories MiniMania has to offer. I couldn't stay for Sunday's ride to Downieville, which, judging from the scenery along Hwy 49, promises to be a great one. To Ken and all the guys at MiniMania, keep up the good work. |

Offline | THANK YOU!!! To all those that attended. Throughout the day, we had about 40 or so new MINIs show up - mostly S's, and about 15 or so classics - Way to go for new MINIs!! The Sunday drive was a nice leisurely drive to Downieville with beautiful scenery with windy and smooth roads along the river. We probably had close to 20 cars with about half classics, and half new MINIs. After lunch, Danny, Larry and I continued up hwy 49 to hwy 89 with some 'spirited' driving. That was more like it!! The people, food, weather, roads, scenery - we couldn't ask for better!! Thanks again. Ken Last edited by kenatMiniMania : Jun 24th, 2003 at 01:08 AM. |

Offline | Hey Ken and all at MINI Mania! Thanks so much for having all of us up there to enjoy your facility and the drive on Sunday! It was a blast. It was really nice having lunch with you and your wife and driving over to Truckee. We've got to do that again. Hope to see you or others at MINI Mania at our future drives with NorCalMINIs! Thanks again! DS/DS MCS, Sport Package, Nav Sys, Rogue Engineering Stripes http://www.mini2.com/gallery/personal/dldds/mysig2.jpg |
