Offline | Hi Dinlo, What kind of adapter is it exactly? I have ordered a Mini Cooper with the standard BOOST Radio and I would like to connect my MP3 player. Will the adapter do the trick? See you, Don |

Offline | Works good, the only thing I had to test with was an old walkman, I don't have XM/ipod (yet)... I installed it in the toggle panel, I have a pic in the link you had posted above. Funny thing, I guess I forgot to plug the toggle panel's cable back when I finished late last night. When I took the car out this evening, I realized that none of the toggles were working, long story short, I became intimate with the interior again :-/ (30 minutes) Where are you thinking of putting yours? |

| MINI2 Senior | i'm interested in getting the aux adapter, but i'm worried about how much the dealer would charge me for labor to have it intsalled. OR if our mechanically inclined NorCalMINIs members could help me install it, that would be wonderful. ![]() didds, i believe the aux port is only on the 2003 model. but since your mcs is the last of the 2002, there's a chance you may have it too??? i'm not sure ![]() |

Offline | Is there a way that I can check to see if my radio has that port? How do I remove the radio and what is it that I should be looking for. Thanks to all that have responded. DS/DS MCS, Sport Package, Nav Sys, Rogue Engineering Stripes http://www.mini2.com/gallery/personal/dldds/mysig2.jpg |

Offline | Thanks Dennis. The Bridger.us website has the Blitzsafe aux how-to on it and not the official MINI one. I have heard that the '02 models do not have the aux port on the back of the head unit, but since mine was the last of the '02's, I was hoping to see if mine had it. I did get some of the things that were coming with the early '03's. I'm wondering what the actual port on the back of the head unit looks like if I were to remove the unit to see in the back. If anyone gets it done, please post some detailed posts! Thanks! DS/DS MCS, Sport Package, Nav Sys, Rogue Engineering Stripes http://www.mini2.com/gallery/personal/dldds/mysig2.jpg |

Offline | Thanks alot Nulltty! That's exactly what I was looking for. Since I have the Nav system, I'm assuming I would have a similar layout as the one on that thread, so I'm gonna look for it. If it's the same, I'm gonna order my aux adapter and the parcel shelf kit. Looks great! Thanks again! Offline | Installing mine later today. If East Bay runs-out (national back-order apparently). Long Beach ships them same day, and had 28 when I got mine. You will not get your 10% there I suppose, but we are only talking a couple bucks, and with an hour of driving to get there (for me), it was a no-brainer... Also, as didds references above, some of you might want to consider ordering and installing a parcel shelf that goes under the steering column. I will put my iPod there, along with the aux port and power... and my commuincatons radio, and other goodies. I think I ordered mine from a MINI dealer in the Ohio area - 71 bucks to your door, I believe... '03 (9.6.02) MCS IB/W Lapis Blue Leather Mission = 10:1 (Weight:HP) |

Offline | I also ordered a dual cigarette lighter that I will hardwire and mount in the parcel shelf, near the aux port. One of many projects for this weekend. No Big Sur guys... ENJOY!!! No problem dinlo. This should be your last weekend below 200 hp ![]() '03 (9.6.02) MCS IB/W Lapis Blue Leather Mission = 10:1 (Weight:HP) |

Offline | Curious how you're planning to wire up the cig sockets... I've always wanted to wire up the [missing '03 MCS] power socket in the boot, but decided I in causing a fire or shorting something if I did it wrong.... |

Offline | To be honest nulltty, I don't know for sure yet. I think I might just go straight from the fuse box. I'll start scoping it out as the weekend approaches. Ideally, I can show you in person if our paths cross at DynoLabs, if not remind me and I will share later... '03 (9.6.02) MCS IB/W Lapis Blue Leather Mission = 10:1 (Weight:HP) |
