Offline | Border to Border Run Chris, Me, and Brooksie are headin' out this Saturday, August 2nd, from Somewhat Sunny San Diego up the Coast route to Seattle and thereabouts for our Second Annual MINI Border to Border In No Particular Order Run. We figure on two days or so up, and hopefully this year we won't have to sleep in the MINI for one nite. (We still walk crooked some after that one). We plan on wandering back down the next weekend. We kinda have a plan, meanin' we just drive 'til we see somethin' interesting, and then we stop and enjoy the moment. We are definitely going thru the Giant's area in the Humboldts, and mostly keepin' close to the coast. Maybe we'll catch some of you on the way - we have the first stop planned for Long Beach MINI early Saturday, and then who knows? BCNU, Rob in Dago |

I'll give you a holler one way or t'other. ______________________ If you want to see the Avenue fo the Giants at Myers, you'll be travelling inland on Hwy 101. That's OK, but to enjoy the coast, I recommend you do that on your return trip down the west coast of Washington State and Oregon. If you hit Santa Rosa on August 3, I'd be happy to convoy with you for a 75 minute trip north to Hopland, where Real Goods has a great solar showroom and demonstration project. I'll need some specific times of your arrival and passing through Santa Rosa. If it's OK, post here and then we can email each other or I can give you my telephone #. |

Offline | Update Border to Border run Linked up with Vanwall today at 1:00 P.M. in Santa Rosa where the beautiful BRG MC/CVT pulled up to Courthouse Square, after a long drive from Monterey. After a nice lunch at Railroad Square's Omelette House, we zipped up Hwy 101 to Hopland where we split, Vanwall and his Mrs continuing north while I spent some time to look at the Real Goods Solar products demonstration. At this time of writing, I figure Vanwall must have crossed the Oregon border, possibly into Grants Pass. Vanwall, it was a pleasure riding the short distance with you. Hope others further north can link up. |
