| MINI2 Regular | wheel repair where? Anyone know where i can repair my curbed wheel? I got a big scratch on one of them last week. I have the white painted wheel and want to see around how much to repair it. I have read a lot of post here (most in england and other places) that repair doesn't cost that much and will look almost like new afterwards. So, anyone know anything about it? Thanks so much for ur help ... |

Offline | What a bummer! I did the same thing but it's not so bad, and anyway I just got a set of new wheels! I think MRB6469 has a place that can fix wheels so you may want to p.m. him a message. Of course it's a place in Walnut Creek CA, so I'm not sure if your interested but it's an option. Good Luck! | MINI2 Newbie | When I talked to my motoring advisor, he stated he had a room full of factory rims that were replaced as people purchased upgraded rims as a dealer installed option.. He said I could get a "used" replacement rim for 50 bucks or less from them. Try asking your dealer... Nerd From Hell |

Offline | I tried to get them to pick up my Audi wheels at their regular stop at a Redwood City shop a couple of months ago. Harvey said he'd call before he made his weekly stop there so that I could get my wheels there a day in advance. After three calls to him on why I never heard back from him, he said that they were real busy, and might not even get to my rims for another month or so. I gave up, and had my wheels repaired through Carlson Audi within 2 days. Bottom line: I heard that they do good work, but don't expect any prompt action. |
