Is there anybody here in the Bay Area that is doing AutoX ? If so where ? I'm trying to find a place to check it out. Any info would be appreciated.

Do you mean a track day? We just had one sponsored by MINI of Mtn. View and it was a huge success! Approx. 100 MINI's showed up to participate. I think NorCalMINIs is planning on doing a track day also. If you are interested, please check out NorCalMINIs.com in the coming months under upcoming events.

No wasn't looking for an open track day. I'm looking for local autocross events. A course set up with pylons normally in a large parking lot.

Hi, i have been to some auto-x with my friend with scca in bay area(only ride in friend's car. non-mini) I wanna get into the sport and see if there are other mini drivers here who autoX and wanna show me around.

Yesterday 3-21 at Oakland, there were probably 4-5 MINI's at the event. We all hang around and talk. The crowd is pretty friendly. My advice to you is show up and race. Most people are more then happy to talk. Here is the schedule http://www.sfrscca.org/solo2/cgi-bin/schedaction.cgi. The next event is at Candlestick on 4-4 and the GS/HS (stock MINI's) is in the afternoon. For afternoon runs be there by 11 am to register and walk the course.

There is also a begining auto-x class there at the stick on 4-3. Last I heard there was still space. All day $70.

You also must be a SCCA member to participate in the SFR events. You can sign up at http://www.sfrscca.org/NewMembers/

thanx a lot.
i was there in oakland yesterday. saw the minis. but i was with my friend who drives a S2000 and we left after we finished the morning section. I will probably join the 4/18 one at oakland next time. so see you guys there. It will be my first time.. .. kinda nervous.
