Hey Larry,
Can you get either a map or at least some directions printed up for our members? You'll probably be leading the group. Don't forget your FRS radios!
Yeah. If you know the route we're going to take, can you put the streets and turns down on paper, so that we can hand them out to our members? Also, are we going to meet MOASF at the Krispy Kreme (I think) at 3pm and then go, or are we doing our own run?
Larry,
Thanks for putting together the run.
I hope to see you at East Bay at 10:00 am - health permitting.
You gave a time for Valco meet do they all know the place?
Larry do you know why this and all the other events we discussed are not on the Norcal website? We can at least link these MINI2 forum links to our website.
I'm so sorry. I forgot to update the event list, it's updated now, I also changing the code, it will auto pull the data from the calendar soon, so the list will always be the most update.
Well that was a heck of a run we lost just as many new ones as old ones. I hope we got rid of the bad carma for the year. Mines getting a new tranny . I think I might just drive the sprite next time to be safe . Hope everyone made it home OK .
larry
New transmission? - what happened?
How many people showed on MOASF they show photos of about 10 Minis - mainly classic
Sorry I could not attend - very ill in bed under doctors orders.
Also I need your home or mobile number - please email me on my home emailregards
Keith
Larry, sorry to here about your tranny. A sprite is a welcome change. After all, it's still got an A series motor!! Chris (hypersprite) also has a sprite with a speedwell frontend and a pretty potent 1275 engine. I think its a 1963. It's pretty nice. I think he's had it for quite along time. Anyway, MOASF would like to thank you guys for participating, and hope to see as many of you as possible for our Mt Diablo run in March.
You can check with the moasf website at: wwww.moasf.com
Larry, What happened? As it turned out I wasn't able to make this gig and from the sound of your post maybe that was a good thing Blown tranny?? Lost cars?? Did the run turn into a destruction derby
No, nothing that exciting William. Larry's car did have a problem with the CVT transmission going out and another new MINI S had electrical problems upon arrival to the Krispy Kreme, and there were a couple on the spot fixes for the classic Minis, so overall it was just a wierd kind of day. However it turned out to be a pretty fun day! Thanks to MOASF for hosting the day. It's a real blast seeing y'all zipping around. It makes me feel like a giant driving around in my MINI S
Yup that belt was slapping like a old retread on a pickup. It should be out of the shop on thurs morn. There not even going to open the case, its on it way back to the factory and a brand new ones going in. I guess I've got another break in period to go thru.
