Offline | Some serious curves in Seattle I have yet take ownership of my 2003-MCS, Yellow w/black top, sunroof, black bonet stripes (prod 8/15/03). However, that has not stopped me from scouting out spots to eat curves. This spot is actually in the midst of semi-suburb area in Capitol Hill district west of downtown Seattle. It's exactly 1 mile long and has 3 really serious turns in it. They look a little banked but not much. Here are some pics to entice any local drivers. I currently have a lame Saturn SL, with stock firestones, but it's still fun to drive this mile. Curve1, @25mph my wheels are making high pitched noises. Curve2, @20mph more squelling from the firestones. Curve3, is really a fork, and both were tire squeekers @25mph ![]() |

Offline | Capitol Hill If it's anywhere close to Queen Anne Hill, I may have driven that road last August. You'd be better off taking your car on safer twisty roads outside of metropolitan Seattle. Not much fun driving along twisty roads at 25 mph, tire squealing notwithstanding. Then, let her rip along the straightaways. |

Offline | Actually this Capitol Hill, but the population density of the two are comparable. Your right it is taveled to much during the morning and early afternoon. However, at late afternoon it doesn't appear to be used much and there's enough ambient light to see without headlights. I'd love to hear any specific suggestions you have for safer places. MCS, Liquid Yellow w/black top & racing stripes, sunroof, 17in. |
