| My poor '02 mini has a large, buttock shaped dimple on the hood, courtesy of some ass (as it were) who decided to dance on my hood after a party. I'm pretty sure this can be vacuumed out but I have no experience with body shops in seattle. Any recommendations? ... And while I have your attention, has anybody found a good source for buzz/rattle fixes? The mini dealership in Tacoma "can't hear" the earsplittling buzz in my hatch and dome light. Anybody fouund a more sympathetic mechanic? Thanks, Steve |

Offline | J & J Auto Body down in Ballard is a pretty good shop. I have had to take my BMW down there for repairs twice, and both times you couldn't tell they car had been hit. The first was just some light rear bumper damage, but the second was the front left fender. I was afraid it would need to be replaced with a "R-DOT", but they were able to pull it out and make it look perfect. Great color match! I think they are located off Market just down the hill from 46th. I don't know of any mechanic I would trust my Mini with. I have only been to the dealer once, and it was a good experience, but I can say I fear for the day that I have to get them to something under warranty. I think it was the comment "the way you Mini owners stay connected on the internet is scary" really put me off. I had a similar rattle in the boot on bumpy roads, and just turned the rubber stoppers out a little so the hatch would fit tighter. Noise went away. Dunno about the light noise, I haven't heard that. Hope that helps. Cameron 2003 MCS Dark Silver/Black |
