Question for P-Torque

Will,

Have you found a way to control A/F when running over 16.5lbs boost on the R56 S?

Not asking how you did it if you have, just if it's possible (and been done).

Thanks!

With mods and the p-torque remap your looking at 19 psi overboost with 17/18 held til redline so im assuming yes. I think p-torque are on holiday just now.

While I know 19-20 psi is possible I'm wondering what the A/F is at those levels.

The tuners over here are seeing the A/F get dangerously lean at those levels.

Hi

Sorry, I have been away for a while...

I think you may be referring to a certain piggy back ECU? They are running dangerous lean levels as they do control injector open times correctly.

The P-Torque software sees approx 17psi overboost, or 18/19 with intercooler.

A/F is perfect, and actually a little rich at top end to keep things safe when driving hard

Thanks Will!

I wasn't actually talking about the piggyback in this case - I know it runs lean.
Our tuners over the pond using DIMSport have found the AF going lean above 16.5 lbs of boost and just haven't figured out how to get around it yet. Something about the closed loop going bonky at high boost levels. They do know how to change the AF - it just doesn't work correctly above 16.5

unless you want to give up some trade secrets and let them know how to keep the AF good at 19lbs boost I guess they'll have to keep searching.

Thanks again for letting me know it is possible. Hopefully the MAF we have isn't the problem.

Hi

We don't get this problem. We have actually made software for Dimsport, for a customer they had with Hybrid turbo
