Remap put back and Forge Intercooler fitted

Who was it that once said, "you don't miss something until it's gone"?

Well, after BMW updated the ECU on my R56 S when they fitted the latest type of timing chain tensioner, they wiped off the P Torque remap!

And did I notice the difference or what! Apart from the obvious lack of power, the engine didn't run as smooth with the P Torque remap and the "characteristic" flat spot around the 2800 to 3000rpm had returned.

So last Monday I had the remap put back by Will of P Torque fame and the Forge Intercooler fitted. And what a massive difference this has made, the engine run's significantly smoother, the flat spot has gone and the power is back, I mean it's really back!!!

The bhp is now up to between 240 and 245, but the biggest difference I noticed is how much smoother the high rpm's are. Before the intercooler was fitted, there was a slight drop in power above 5500rpm. Not anymore, the engine rev's as smooth as silk from 1500 all the way up to 6500rpm.

I had my car remapped by Will at P Torque about two years ago and have never had any problems, not one single blip or niggle etc and have been more than happy with the results.

And now I'm even happier!

Thanks Will.

Best Regards,

Paul.

You should see our garage floor....

With the extra "go", the car need's better brakes! So I ordered a pair of Brembo Gran Toursmo 320mm 2 piece brakes today, this car is going to bankrupt me!
