Offline | In car video from Phil Wicks at Sebring I've got a 20 minute clip of video from my in car camera at Sebring International Raceway at the Phil Wicks Driving Academy - It's a bit compressed, but it streams pretty well - be sure to turn up the sound! http://homepage.mac.com/skropp/iMovieTheater154.html I also have a better quality version of the same clip available for download - it's a big file though (300mb), so be careful! http://homepage.mac.com/WebObjects/F...cty=US&lang=en I also have a blog entry on the experience here - http://kropp.poetshome.com Here is a photo of my DS MCSC going rather spiritedly round a bend - ![]() Photo courtesy of Keith Seckel |

| polizei -NAM and Focaljet | I've never raced before, so parton my ignorance, but is it just me...or does it seem like everyone is going very slow? I was expecting much faster runs, and not so 'boring' of a movie. Sorry, but I can't watch 20mins of a MINI going 70mph (or however fast that was) around a track. It didn't seem like he was pushing it, or very aggressive at all? -Cody "Gizmo" - 03' IB/B MCS! |

Offline | It was difficult to get around much more quickly than that with all the traffic. There were also only three places where we could pass, and we could only pass if the car being passed indicated that it was ok to do so. Phil Wicks is more of a driving school than a racing school, so there was no all out racing with trading of paint which might have made it more exciting for you to watch. I thought it was cool just to be out there on that track, even at 80% of capability, so I thought I'd share the video. As for the speed, many of the Cooper S's reached around 120 on the back straight, and around 100 on the front straight. |
