Offline | that is very impressive! I have skills in 3D studio Max and I don't think I could do that! Very very impressive! How did you start? Did you take pics from angles and work from them? I'd like to see a 3D fly around! Is Maya like 3D studio where you construct the whole scene or is it different? Very interested in knowing how you did this! Cool! |

Offline | Hi Laura, basically I used front/rear/top/side views of the car as template to work from (pics from the back of the owners manual), and yes Maya is like 3D Studio Max, I started out with a box and went from there.. and about a month and 1.7 million polygons later I ended up with that... Offline | Excellent work! I know the extent of the work that would go into that then! Fancy rendering a fly by/fly past? Only take about the same time as the creation to render! Cool! Got me itching to do a bit of work on 3DMax now! I tried doing a walk through of my new house that was a mission! Cool though! |

Offline | My beginning, will take much longer than a month as I have just begun on learning modeling. Interestingly the basic idea of using the silhouettes at the back of the brochure is how I was suggested to start too. http://koti.mbnet.fi/shrubery/MINI_r56.jpg I have currently added a door to this, Ill add it once its nice enough. |
