Offline | Just a little Photoshop trick ... ... you might like to try: Take one shot with the bonnet open & one shot with the bonnet closed. The camera really needs to be on a tripod so that everything lines up properly. Stack the two images onto two photoshop layers and use a layer mask to paint in the motor. I tweaked the colour and levels of the engine too. Pete |

| The Power Cube | Ah, a very old photoshop trick that. I saw it recently too on a Bonnet scoop thread where the guy tries to display how the scoop worked. I wonder how it would work for the human body - urgh !!! Cheers, K. ![]() Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing... |

Offline | That looks cool, when the whether improves and I can take some decent photos I'm gonna try some photoshop tricks like this. I downloaded GIMP as well the other day. I need to give that a try to see if I can use it to make some similar effects. |

Offline | with this technique you can do what you did but make the lines on the original bonnett solid and add an effect to it to make it look like a section has been taken out. Or you can make it look like your bonnett actually splits open.
