| MINI2 Master | interesting, do me a favour. I don't want to go technical and spend hundreds of quid on all the gear, but i want to give mine a good going over soon, so would love to know a basic requirement list of things to buy to get a good finish. I keep seeing this claybar stuff and think my car would really appreciate a bit of it, esepcially on my 5yr old black roof. So can you give us novices a basic starter kit guide of what we should go and buy to give a good finish. Cheers |

| MINI2 Senior | superb job there, big respect where its due from me. im only just getting into proper detailing, as you know andy i am looking for a PC to get me started. photos and write ups like that make everyone realise the benifits. I was trying to explain to someone today what its all about (all my products were delivered to work!) and the only way i could explain it was "the car will be better than new"! in your case with "Dawns" car tha certainly is the case! | MINI2 Regular | The blue 3M tape is perfect. I use a combination of the 25mm and 50mm wide stuff It makes me chuckle when i get the wet/dry paper on cars. People go into shock It just needs a gentle hand and lots of checking! There are a couple of gauges floating around for sale on Detailing World iirc. Might be worth a look. Best tool i've bought even if it is a little time consuming! Always one LOL Yes i did forget/run out of time ![]() Thanks Mark Did that chap on Detailing World get back to you? That kit is a bargin if you can snap it up! |

Offline | Top Job. Having a black car I can appreciate what a job that would have been, they show up all the marks! ![]() I wish mine was swirl free! I think this summer I might have to call upon the help of a professional. |
