| MINI2 Regular | Hi, We took delivery of the car 4 weeks ago and very quickly I was out cleaning the exhaust with Einszett Metal Polish and Megs NXT Metal Polish. Before ![]() ![]() 50/50 ![]() After ![]() Now onto the detail, it has taken a long time to finish due to the amount of rain we’ve had. Also had poor whether before I started and you can tell by how dirty the car was ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Started on the wheels with Autobrites Acid free Brite Wheels, using Swissvax Wheel Brush and EZ Detail Brush. Megs Wheel Brightner was used on the insides. ![]() Foamed with Autobrites Super Snow Foam ![]() ![]() The foam did a great job and I moved onto washing. Shampoo Plus with Zymol Sponge. Clayed with Sonus Green and Last Touch, claying was relatively easy. Once that was done the car was washed again. Next up Megs Deep Crystal Step 1 Paint Cleaner followed by Megs NXT liquid Tech Wax. I had to call it a day after rain stopped play. A few days later and I was able to get a step closer to finishing. Washed again. A coat of Chemical Guys EZ Glaze followed by two coats of Chemical Guys Jetseal 109. I finished a couple of days ago with the last stage, a coat of Dodo Juice Supernatural (sample pot). Dressed trim with Chemical Guys New Look Trim. Autoglym Glass Polish. Autoglym Vinyl & Rubber Care on tyres. Afters ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Autosol on the exhaust ![]() Wheels had a coat of Chemical Guys Wheel Guard and Jetseal only a few weeks ago ![]() Engine bay had a quick once over with Autoglym Vinyl & Rubber Care ![]() Autoglym Vinyl & Rubber Care on interior plastics. Fabric Cleaner on seats with Gliptone on the leather ![]() I am very pleased with the final results, Dodo Juice Supernatural has really impressed me. I think the Mini is looking pretty good considering it’s a 2003 car that has done almost 53,000 miles. Updated: New wheel decals added Front wheel ![]() Rear wheel ![]() Last edited by Sooper Rob : Apr 29th, 2008 at 09:03 PM. |

| MINI2 Regular | Thanks everyone for your comments ![]() Scottyboy, I've made a few orders with Elite car care myself found them to be very good and probably will be making another one soon to stock up. I hope you like Brite wheels, I'm now using Valetpro Bilberry which is very good but alot more money than Brite Wheels. For 5 litres of Bilberry I paid £28 (that is including vat and delivery) but diluted 1:10 works out pretty cost effective. Good luck with your MCS this weekend ![]() |

Offline | I use elite on the wheels but I think AG vinyl care is better on the plastics as it doesn't go streaky. Claybarred mine and used Meg 7 show glaze and AG aqua waxed it over easter. Heres the results. The 2nd from last photo is what it normally looks like. ![]() |
