Just got new wheels fitted tonight, Rota Subzeros with Pirelli P7000 tyres and Black and Silver Plates.

Brakes to be done in the next week. i think it might need lowered?

Could do with a little lowering like you said and I'd recommend Eibachs for that.

Hey Hugh, they look good, deffo tie in with the mean and moody look of the rest of the MINI

Yep there 215x35x18! Actually help the handling of the car with grippy tyres, seem to ride the bumps better as well than the 17" runflats.

I thought handling increased as well definately!! Lowering will help that more.

Picked up rear disks and pads today. only need front disks and maybe goodridge S/S brake hoses.

My pay seems to go on cigarrettes and the Mini, as you can tell i got paid last week.

I think there 7.9kg each. price £525 witth out tyres, with the pirellis they where £900 but you could get them with budget tyres for £730

Unsprung weight of 4 wheels with tyres are over 10KG lighter an 17" bulletts and 14KG lighter than 17" S-Spokes with runflats. someone did a thread on the weight of wheels at the end of last year.

The steerings lighter and corners better than the S Spokes with runflats.

Personally, I wouldn't lower it, but it's just a matter of personal taste...

Can you get away with black and silver plates in Northern Ireland?

Yeah if its pre-1973 (I think), basically same legalisation as the mainland. I've passed 2 police cars today in the middle of town and didn't get stopped. But theres a new 911 driving about with the same style.

If it's the same legislation as the mainland then it's legal when the car they are fitted to was first registered pre 1973. Here's hoping that the police in NI fill their days with more important police work than this
