My Mini Cooper S JCW

Hi,

Just joined up to the forum after browsing for a few months. I bought my S last November and I'm absolutely loving it!

Hopefully the pics work. The bull bars get slated quite often, I'm getting used to it.. but I like them so they're staying!

My main reason for joining is to find out if my Mini is lowered at all. I've been looking for lowering kits but don't know if there's any point because it may already be lower than standard... so if anyone can help me out there that'd be great!

Cheers,

Sam

Welcome to MINI2, love the car - and love the wheels!

It does look quite low - can you see the springs? Are they a different colour other than black? That's not definitive, but standard springs are black, and quite often aftermarket ones are a different colour..

Thats not lowered, serious gap between the tyre and the arch, most springs and coilover kits take the arch down to the top of the tyre. Take the wheel off and have a look at the spring and shock.

Thanks for the advice.. I'll take the wheel off and have a nosy at the springs.

The previous owner put the bull bars on! I quite like them though, makes it unique. I haven't seen any other Minis with them, although maybe there's a reason for that
