How often do you clay bar??

I often use Auto Glym Polish followed by Meguiars Carnuba Wax, but have recently bought Meguiars Cleaner wax which is a 3 in 1 paint cleaner, polish and wax, and am finding really brilliant results very easily acheivable with little effort in a lot quicker time.
Have you tried it?

Claying I don't do very often as the Checkmate lives under the shelter of a car port so doesn't get covered in tree sap etc. I normally use the clay bar at the start of winter (this detail was what I consider my good pre-winter clean to protect from salts and crap), and then clay again in early spring once we're past the worst of the weather, around April.

I use the normal Carnuba wax sometimes also - very nice stuff, good results, and smells of bananas which I quite like Not tried the 3-in-1, but I've never been a fan of the combined products, and often revert back to the single polishes and waxes. To be honest, some of the latest Megs products I've found to be a bit hit and miss.... the NXT wax (in bottle form) is very good, but they do the same wax in a spray which is a nightmare to use.

Very nice minicabrio.

I use a similar method. except I snow foam rinse and snow foam again and then wash with a megs 100% lambs wool mit avoiding the bucket all together.

Have you used any of the dodo juice wax??? I tried it for the forst time a few weeks ago and it is the business and it does not stain the black trim either would highly reccomend.

Sounds ace

I haven't used any of the dodo juice products as yet, although have heard lots of good things

I've got too many half used products at the minute that I need to finish up, but I will try some of that next - thanks for the tip

I've not used the snow foam before either, something else you'd recommend?

To begin with....

Mer Car Shampoo or Meguires Gold Class Car Shampoo - both equally as good
Meguires Pure Lambs Wool Wash Mitt
Two bucket method, with grit guards in the bucket

On to the wheels

Meguires Hot Rims - agitated with a small paint brush and rinsed. Repeat if necessary.
Paint brush also reaches through to clean the brake calipers
Meguires Hot Wheels tyre shine
Wipe over alloy with a microfiber to remove tyre shine overspray and prevent water marks.

On to the bodywork

Meguires quick detailer along with a clay bar over the roof, body and bumpers, dried with a terry towell.
AutoGlym super resin polish (have stuck by this for many years, always happy with the result).
Meguires NXT Tech Wax
AutoGlym High Gloss Protection.
Lots of Microfiber cloths

Trim and other bits

AutoGlym Trim Detailer - the green goo. Squirted onto a microfiber and rubbed in, then buffed for an even finish.
ArmorAll Matt Finish Dashboard wipes for all interior plastics
Dry paint brush for cleaning dust from air vents
Autosol on the exhaust tail pipes

Stannd back, and admire

Just out of interest - how do you clean the roof graphic?
