Exhaust and CAI - MINI Cooper Forum

What's up y'all. Just bought a 2010 mini cooper s and want to install a exhaust and CAI. Was think Alta for both. Any input?

I just bought the Akrapovic turbo back exhaust (downpipe, midpipe, mufflers) and will install it next weekend. Will keep you updated!

Alta intake for sure, as for exhaust, it really depends on your budget. Akrapovič is a LOT more expansive... Sound-wise, both sound really good. Power-wise, cat-back variants are very similar.
Alta withdrew downpipe some time ago.
Only Akrapovič and Milltek have EU homologation (not a problem in USA ofc).

PS: downpipe must be coded, otherwise one can expect CEL.

How do you know if the down pipe is coded?
