| MINI2 Newbie | Please help. I entered my dead standard S in the "Ultimate Street Car" challenge in South Africa. Four events, against some serious machinery (Porsche GT 2, Subaru STi's, M3 CSLs, M Coupe's, Supercharged M3s, Nissan 350Z etc, etc. I finshed 33rd out of 60+. I had the only standard car there! It was quite amusing when I drilled an E36 M3 3.2 by two seconds on the rally stage, and was 2 seconds off a 350Z on the track stage. There was a modified S with 136 kW on the wheels (more than a JCW!) and NOS. He did mid 14's on the 1/4 mile and placed 18th overall. I took a video of the practice run on the gymkana and I would like to put it on here of all to watch and enjoy, and another short video of me "negotiating" some sacry sweeps at 200 kph. I am no computer boffin, how do I get it on these videos onto the forum for others to see. I still need to download the video from the camera onto my harddrive....then what?????? I have an all black Cooper S with 17", sunroof, MFS. |

| MINI2 Regular | Wow, I really enjoyed that vid! I'm not sure why though - that's the weird part! I'm AMAZED at the camera stability! I've always wanted to spend a few weeks in the UK for a vacation - this just makes me want it sooner! One thing that struck me right away - MAN do you guys have narrow roads! I don't know if two full size US cars would even make it past each other on some of the roads you showed! |

| Pixie Posse Racing | Great video, I enjoyed going for the "ride". One thing, if you ever feel compelled to do it again, can you please set the camera so we can see the road AND the way you shift while you drive it? It would be immensly helpful for us that want to learn how to drive our Mini's better. ![]() |
