Offline | Black trim is treated with Mequiars trim "stuff", in fact the whole car gets the Meguiars treatment when I wash it (which is nowhere near often enough!). It's got a stone chip on the bonnet (big one) a scratch on the drivers side on the rear quarter (neighbours moving out), scratches on the drivers side "wing" (neighbours cat MINI surfing) a dent on the drivers side rear quarter panel (me and a child's buggy), a scratch on the passenger side rear quarter panel (me and some keys) and a dent with scratch on the roof (no idea). All quite small really, but each one upsets me. Be good when I can afford to get it all done! Wheels have chips and things too, but the 16's are cheap and so much fun I don't really care. ![]() |

Offline | Cracking looking car. 16" Wheels are just so much better for the steering responsiveness. You can feel the point at which it is going to let go, which you never could properly with the bigger wheels Loved the look of the 17" S spokes on my previous S, but its more fun with the smaller wheels. Would never have spec'd X-lites if it hadn't been for reading Mini2 No alloy kerbing yet either. Funny the things that you expect or look out for from the 2nd car as a learning experience from the 1st. e.g now super careful with avoiding scratching the seat backs... Roll on next weeks JCW |

Offline | I really like those 5-spoke 16"s. It's a shame the X-84s come standard on the 05' MCS. I know it's too late for me now but were your 5-spokes standard on that MCS? |

Offline | Thanks folks. The S Spokes (in my opinion) do look very cool, but the 16" wheels (especially now they have those lovely Toyos on them) handle SO much better. Thanks for the sound remark Stephen, hard to put across the power and noise difference since it was new in photos! ![]() |
