nope it's just that the lens I was using for that (Sigma 24-70/2.8 EX) has 9 aperture blades, and it was stopped down a fair way (F16), so you get the flares from the diffraction around the blades.

Hey Chris, its not just the camera, the bloke behind the lens knows wht he's doing too, i have a 300d and will never get quality shots like that, fabulous stuff MickyD.

not to steal your thunder micky (as if I could with those awesome photos you got)....but Daniel dropped by to pick up my old side skirts so we went out and took some pics of the cars together...

It was sorta funny, 'cause a dude in a black porsche boxter turned up and then some chick in beemer turned up and he jumped in her car and they hooned off...it was obvious that they were 'hooking' up on the sly....

...

The security guard didn't look impressed that his caryard was turning into a meet and greet / photo location....
