Hi, Just trying to find out if there are any members here from SA ?
I'm in JHB and have seen plenty minis in the area.
Anyone keen on going out for a run sometime ?

Calling all South African MINI Drivers...

Anyone else in SA looking for all the great bits available only from the UK or America. Is anyone currently importing any of it?

I'm sure there is a market for MINI aftermarket parts.

Lets try get these parts in SA!

Hey G-Man,

You aren't from around Fish Hoek, Cape Town area are you?

I'm looking for various things nothing specific, but I imported my own S Spoiler, and saved 2 grand. I also imported my own clear markers and paid half the price BMW wanted. I would like to replace the stock pedals with MCS ally ones as well as fitting a Chrome and Black slatted grill. I have the full chrome one, but would like the black slats.

There are so many small bits, parcel trays and chrome rings, and short shift kits, exhausts and so much more overseas but I would like to know if there is anyone local to support. Otherwise how about a group buy? I'm definately in for a short shift kit!

Don't give up, sure you can manage something!

I had a great time driving an S around the Cape Town area back in 2002 on our honeymoon, love the place.

I see more and more Mini's on the road, they're taking over Cape Town. But nobody on here! I am converting them slowly to waving to fellow mini drivers too! I get some weird looks, some are just stuck in their commute, I've started flashing way in advance then waving when they get nearer! I think I'll get a Mini2 decal made up so they can join the forum here and read all about it!

nevillejnr, I have a mini2.com sticker from stripey if you want. I have one on my cab. The only problem is that the roof is always off, so you only see it when it's parked. Send me a pm, with your address details, and I'll send you one. Thanks to the guys who made them. :-)

Sure thing. Always keen on getting out on a hot summer morning. There are some really awesome roads near the Lion and Rhino park. Perhaps take a drive out to the dam and come back via that route.
