windscreen replacement

It really has been a while since my last post in the forum. I hope you guys are all well!
Now I am looking to replace my windscreen on the MC. Other than the factory replacement, any good suggestions?

Hi YC,

Long time no see! What 's the problem on your MC's windscreen? Did you check your insurance whether it will cover one windscreen each year? If it do, you should go back dealer or any aftermarket car repair shop that you are familiar with to change it. Otherwise, you may go for the aftermarket such as 日本汽車玻璃, 友邦汽車玻璃 and etc. Hope it would help!

Any replacement you get will be 'factory'. A MINI windscreen is a MINI windscreen. It only depends on where you get it repaired

Hi, Edmund. Long time no see!
Yes, my insurance does cover a windscreen every year. And I am going to renew my policy very soon. That's why I am in a hurry to get it done. Yet my policy only covers up to $5000 for the windscreen and Mini quoted me around $7000 for the work. So likely I have to go to the two you mention to me.
Any activities for the club lately?

What a ripoff in HK...I think what you should do is, get a quote on how much the glass cost and get someone else to install it instead of BMW. There are aftermarket windscreen provided yours doesn't have the rain sensor otherwise your only option is the BMW stuff.
