Offline | Hello Welcome to Singapore, U can visit Mini habitat / Trans Eurokars @ 27 Leng Kee Road, here is like a one stop shopping for cars such as Saab, Audi, Jaguar, Honda, Toyotas, Surbara, VW, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Volvo and so on. You will be a liitle disapointed for accessories though as the market demand for mini is minimum. Have a good time. You can also visit us at www.mini-singapore.com . By the way the www.newminisociety.com is fabulaous. Cheers |

Offline | Hi Pan You may be able to get some parts for the Mini from Juzz for Cars located in Sin Ming Industrial Estate in the big complex (third floor). I'm sorry I don't have the address as I am currently in Thailand in my Singapore registered MCS (they modified certain elements of my car and serviced it). They have various parts for the car or can order the same. In the alternative, the main dealer Trans Eurocars should be able to assist in relation to OEM parts and I suspect that some parts may be a bit more reasonable than Millenium in Thailand due to slightly lower taxes. Hope that assists. ![]() |

Offline | Dear SMC I was not aware of any feature in a local magazine on my car, in any event, as both the car and I are quite bashful and publicity shy! Only made very rough notations but can tell you that Singapore - North South Highway - Had Jai - Krabi - Phuket - Khao Lak - Chumphon - Hua Hin - Bangkok is about 2350 kilometres one way. Of course, the best bit to the North South as you will know is past KL to Penang. From Penang to the border at Kayu Hitam is about another 150 kilometres. Have not been to Songhkla as you can see I took the South West coastal road in Thailand. I think that you will be heading to Surat Thani and then on and through to Songhkla from there. Not too sure. I think you can calculate the entire length of the North South Highway and add a few hundred kilometres which should get you there. Just be careful in the South East of Thailand given there is a secessionist insurgency going on over there at the moment. One of the reasons why I took the South Western route up and down, though I have to tell you that the roads are challenging and well paved and your Mini will love it! |

Offline | Hi SMC Am actually back in Bangkok with my MCS again! Can't seem to get enough of the roads to here! Took in Cameron Highlands en route (stopover one night) and the fabulous and adjoining Guar Musang road. Then proceeded to Had Jai again, staying overnight before going on to Bangkok in about 10 hours or so (inclusive of fuel and meal breaks). Total distance to Bangkok was under 2000 kilometres including the diversion to Cameron Highlands, this time travelling via Songhla and Surat Thani up the Thai main arterial highway (Highway 41 and then 4 from Chumphon). As regards the high mileage, I couldn't bear to part with my MCS and given I have a new job here, decided that I would bring it up with me! I also don't envisage parting with my car anytime soon, and am actually contemplating taking good car of my car and driving until the COE expires at least, so heck the mileage! Do let me know if you are coming up this way, and I will send you my notes on the trip and hope that assists. In fact, the Thai Mini Club (New Mini Society) are actually thinking of driving down to Singapore shortly, so if the timing works out, you might want to plan your trip up in convoy with them on their return leg. PM me if you want further details. Best Regards |
