Offline | Great! You did it? Great! The mirrors are really helpful in Japan since we fold down mirrors everytime we park. I will help you when you want to make another oriental conversion. ![]() KID http://www.fbody.jp/mini/ |

Offline | Mirror There is a small push switch next to mirror adjusting switch. One push makes mirror closed, next push makes mirror open. Please see attached picture though it is not good angle to explain. KID http://www.fbody.jp/mini/ |

Offline | Interesting. Last year when I took my old '03 MCS in to have the mirror switch replaced because the silver paint was coming off, they replaced it with the one that has the little silver button. The dealership had no idea what the button was for and they didn't seem too anxious to replace it again with the correct part. I wonder how much of the wiring harness is already in the MINI's not equipped with electric folding mirrors and if they would need to be activated in the computer. |

Offline | Electric parts manual says only Gulf version and Japan version have powered folding mirrors though I am not sure if other version have them. Does anybody living anywhere else have powered folding mirrors? I found my powered mirrors did not close while running (maybe at more than certain speed.) KID http://www.fbody.jp/mini/ |

Offline | From what I've heard so far the computer is also different - we don't have the folding mirrors in HK - but we were interested - someone did a bit of research and found that the computer is programed differently - BMW service dept wouldn't touch it. Mike if you can do it bypassing the computer - your going to have major orders from HK !!! |
