| "knucklehead" | ey der... i just got mine last month and so far its been great.... i really love this car... its up to you if you would like to buy... its quite expensive here in our country and the servicing too... PGA cars is the only BMW dealer that would service the new mini... Prestige will not... i already inquired how much would i spent on servicing my MCS, oil service is about Php 4,000, brake fluid change about Php1K, and they already have some maintenace parts available like oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, etc... other parts would be ordered from singapore... by the way im from pasig city, what about you?if you want you can drop by my place and see my MCS and talk... and i know some dealers.. tnx.. ![]() |

Offline | Nice to hear that your enjoying your cooper s. Is it your daily driver? Or weekend ride? I'm concerned about the ride with respect to Phil. road conditions. I know that the mcs has sport suspension, which i'm expecting the ride to be harsh. Do you plan to modify your mcs in terms of performance? I'm frm makati. I have scanned the classifieds for coopers for sale have, seen only basic coopers in the ads. nice to look at but does not have the punch wen power is needed. tnx for the info ![]() |

Offline | Did you put tint in your windows? If so where? m looking for somebody who knows how to install properly. i'll be getting my mcs next week after much deliberation with my G/F coz my 1st choice was an evo 8 but after i test drove it with her she condemned the evo. she had a stiff neck afterwards, so mcs it is. |

| "knucklehead" | well i havent put any tint in my MCS but im still thinking about it... do you really like to put tints on your MCS? its better w/o it... and also Mini's windshield are too curvy that ordinary tints would not fit in it... they can fit in 3 parts if cut, but can still lift in the middle. but there are some stores that has a heater for window tints that molds and follows the curvature of the glass and can be installed in 1 piece... but i would not recommend putting tints in your MCS... btw, whre are you getting one? for hw mch? tnx... ![]() ![]() Last edited by eddieboyII : May 15th, 2004 at 03:27 AM. |

Offline | Ey MINI owners in the Phils. Didn't know there was a thread about this. Have a '02 MCS. Changing the oil in the MINI is very easy, I just had mine changed three times already as well as the brake fluid, and you don't have to go to PGA to get it done. I've had CATS install tints on the car, 1 peice up front, no probs. All they have to do is use a heat gun. The ride of the 1st generation MINIs were pretty bad, specially with the 17" S-lites, but I've changed to the newer shocks and it's a lot better now, but my car has already a lot of rattles from the old shocks. Eddieboy: Where in pasig are you? I'm from pasig too. Maybe we could meet up. Send me a PM. Van: Don't worry about depreciation of the car, I bought mine on 2002 and so far the prices have gone up for both the cooper S and the regular cooper. |

Offline | Van: Maybe I can try your car with the plasma booster. I hate how I have to give a lot of throttle to get the car rolling. I had my pulley installed be autoplus. Their the only ones which are realiable enough to do the job. Had the car dynoed after, I think the gain was about 15whp. You'd like how it drives with the pulley. Eddieboy: Sure set it up! ![]() |
