Offline | Singapore to Bangkok in a MCS Hi Everybody Am currently in Bangkok having driven from Singapore in my Singapore registered Chilli Red MCS. It was a fantastic journey (2577 kms) where I took in KL, Penang, Krabi, Phuket, Khao Lak and Hua Hin. What fantastic roads you have in the South of Thailand, particularly Krabi-Phuket-Chumphon which were just heavenly! Will be in Bangkok sporadically as I have a business here. Can anyone let me know if there is a specialist garage here as I hit a rather large pothole coming into a petrol station on Highway 4 late last night near Prachuap Khiri Khan and I think that the alignment is now slightly off, though Highway 4 cambers to the right so much that I can't be sure! If there are any Mini gatherings or drives occuring, please do also let me know as I will be in Bangkok for a little while. Looking forward to hearing from you! And if you spot me in my Singapore registered car in Thailand, do remember to wave, ha ha! Terence MCS SGG 5885R |

Offline | Danger! Cows Crossing! Hi Mel Good to hear from the MCSJCW++ Maestro himself! I have indeed survived, though the traffic in Bangkok and road conditions have to be seen to be believed! Anyway, here's a picture of a very very dirty MCS en route up to Bangkok! |

Offline | I am staying on South Sathorn Road, though am planning excursions to Pai - Mae Hong Son and also to Loei shortly. Will be checking out the Mini Garage behind GT Cars on New Phetburi Road today. Would still like to check alignment at a tire store though. Where is Cockpit and I will go there. Thanks for the advice and hope to bump into you on the street! Cheers! MCS Chilli Red SGF 5885 R |

Offline | A Bit of Bump and Grind Not literally! Close enough to flutter my headlights and smile bashfullly ha ha! Off to Cockpit today on Rama 4 to check the alignment. As soon as that is done, next stop is up North to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle and then back via Pai - Mae Hong Son - Tat. I also want to check out Loei which I hear is beautiful though that might be a bit of a stretch looking at the map! Thai country roads are very well maintained indeed and I am looking forward to getting out of the bad streets of Bangkok! I will then head back to Bangkok and change my oil and fluids and anything else that needs attending to before deciding where to go next. Home? Hmmm. newminisociety.com seems to be the active Thai site with lots of helpful and friendly members. They have been pointing me in the direction of the mini garages and wheel and tire shops here. |

Offline | There might be a few Mini's in Bangsaen but there are plenty here in Bangkok. Unfortunately, Bira Circuit (Pattaya) will be close for renovation that month. You might want to post at New Mini Society if you want to meet together with some owners here. ![]() |
