Sounds very nice. As a finished kit with the 2.0L stroker its going to be a beast, and cooler temps can only help with reliability and longevity of the engine.

When are we likely to see the results for the 1.6 engine?

Always loved the SC, so cant see me ever going to turbo.

Does it still whine like a banshee?

Also, will it run okay without an engine oil cooler? Just thinking of costs and how often I have seen oil cooler kits go 'pop' when you don't expect it.

Is the SC similar to the M45 in the way that its self contained with its oil, or does it have separate external oil lines like some turbos?

Can you do anything to make your economy go into freefall quicker than ours, os the exchange rate is good enough to buy this stuff again please?

the 1.6L version won't be out til late this yr per Eaton
No screaming whine, more like a subdued one.... it's quite refreshing actually

It will run without an oil cooler but if you track it I would recommend it as we do with any tracked vehicle. Oil is self contained so no maintenance there either.
Don't worry about the economy we are printing money faster than humanly thought possible. If you could , please send Hannon over here to speak to our Congress. This guy is amazing. Wish we had politicians that had the guts to say what he does. Refreshing to say the least.

That's interesting to know, as it's generally the screaming whine that turns me off superchargers.

I agree, it's much more stealthy

this is the same supercharger (different size) that is run on the ZR-1 Vette and the new Cadillac that set the records at the Ring last yr.

I see Audi just put it on their S-4.... for Audi to go away from turbo's which they have used for years tells you something about how good this supercharger really is

Jan ...

Once you get your hands on the TVS for the 1.6l approximately how much time will it take before a package is available for sale?

Will there be a "street version" which pass the California smog inspection?

that's a great question that at this time I cannot answer. The street version for the 1.6L should use the same outlet horn to bolt up to the stock intercooler for the base version. I doubt anyone will notice it but until it's done no one knows for sure. I plan on having the casings made ahead of time so it's ready by the time Eaton gets the rotors out to their distributors

I'm running much less than this on mine to see what it does first and the meth allows me to run more boost on low octane fuel
At some point I will kick it up to 28psi to see what it can do. Even on the big pulley it would destroy any supercharged Mini ever built. The beauty of this over the turbo is you have power instantaneously vs having to wait for it like the kits sold with GT2871s-3071s

Nice going on the temps. Looking forward to seeing some lap times when you're done.

Only down side is the quiet whine from the supercharger. I have always been in love with that sound on any car.

Can't wait to see a bolt on replacement for the M45. Hope Eaton does its job quickly.
I'm not crazy about horse power nor torque. Just about getting a cooler S/C that can get 250hp and get torque around 260-280Nm without wearing out itself having smaller pulleys.

they are much better than the M series
