Offline | Anyone out there in the Rockies? HI, It seems a while since there have been any posts from the Rockies. Are you still alive and driving or have you entered hibernation for winter? We are due out for 2 weeks to Jackson Hole on Jan 6th 07 and wondered if there is anything happening to get a quick fix to stop our mini withdrawal symptoms? Or do you all take to snowmobiles??? Wondered if there was anyone out there if we could set up an international meet / social at the Mangy Moose???? I'd be particularly interested in meeting any other miniwidows whilst our other halfs talk engine performance, upgrades & other such techical stuff! ![]() |

Offline | I've posted this where my buddies from Wyoming will see it (MINIUSA Owners Lounge), hopefully they can check in with you. They're from the eastern/central side of Wyoming, so it might depend on how kind January is to the roads for travel! Have a great trip- it's beautiful country out there! |

Offline | Miniwidow, yellowmininy sent you my email address because I was having trouble getting in here. I would be interested in meeting up with you and know two other Wyoming Miniacs who might be interested also. I can probably make either weekend but know one is busy Jan 6/7 but free the the folllowing weekend, Jan 13/14. I am not sure about the other. Are you going to be venturing away from Hackson Hole at all. If you are travelling through Casper for any reason we have plenty of room and would welcome you to stay with us here. My email address as listed here is incorrect, I believe ymny sent you the correct one. I am trying to figure out how to change it here. |

Offline | Thanks yellowmininy I got your PM & replied this am. I'll e-mail them this week. 1Der: We don't get into Jackson airport until about 18.30 Sat the 6th... on the Sun I guess we will be picking up our ski hire & passes & having a couple of hours on the slopes, so I don't know how feasible it is to meet that weekend unless you're skiers too? However I'm sure that after all the travelling we will be heading to the Mangy Moose Sat evening after we have dumped our bags...if you think its worth it? We are as maniac about skiing as minis so plan to seriously hit the pistes ( or rather off pistes)..we have ski passes for 10 of our 14 days & may do the odd day extra if we feel like it & conditions are good....we're not hiring a car as we are staying in Teton village & will use the buses for the odd excursion to Jackson town itself, so I don't know that we will be venturing far afield, though thanks for the offer...I'll have to show my ignorance & admit I'm going to go & google casper now. It would be great to meet up if its feasible...yellowmininy has put me intouch with another interested miniac...so I'll be e-mailing this week..so could let you know how that progresses . Let me know your thoughts...................... ![]() |

Offline | Jackson is a blast. You will have a great time. Not sure of the snow conditions up there as I am in Colorado, but we are having some cold fronts moving in with snow likely...mainly southern mountains, but I am sure WY will be getting their share as well. It would be easier to set up an international meet here in Denver, as there is a much higher population of MINI owners than J.H. Enjoy your trip. |

Offline | Kids are counting sleeps to Christmas (1), I'm counting sleeps to Jackson ( 13 ). Looking at the latest Jackson blogs snow is looking great.....certainly 'dumps' better than Europe! I thought it would be a bit of a long shot to meet any other miniacs at JH......maybe an international meet is the way fwd! Merry Christmas to you & all miniacs in the USA! |

Offline | It looks like hubby, daughter and I will be in Jackson Jan 13/14 I sent you an email with phone numbers and where we are staying, etc... I sure hope we get to meet up with you! Hubby and daughter will be skiing/boarding both Saturday and Sunday... maybe son, also, if he has time off work. We have been taking our kids there since daughter was around 5 and son was an infant. He took the tram up and skiied down Rendevous Bowl for the first time when he was 5! It will be sad that the tram is gone. |
