| R57? Bring it on! | ...and a poor-man's Whalen lookalike also on eBay! How about this then? 7934821922 Looks like it's made of aluminium, not steel, so it might look a bit like a Whalen, but won't have that satisfying mass that help you slip smoothly and sensuously into gear.......!! |

| MINI2 Regular | Jord, Thanks for the kind comments about my Whalen. I went for the bead blasted finish to be DIFFERENT to everyone else. I didn't want chrome / polished / brushed finish as they are quite popular (read: common/bling) and isn't this all about personalising your car to individual tastes? In addition, the finish matched my interior far more than other varieties of Whalen IMHO. I am only selling it because I have recently sold my MCS for a newer WRX which has more room and more go (the rattles in my MINI were also driving me up the wall..lol!), not because of the Whalen's finish which is not to your taste. It's nice that you air your opinion, after all, that's what these forums are all about. Have you ever said "the pictures don't do it justice" about something..? If Doug did a Whalen for the Subaru, I'd go for exactly the same finish for exactly the same reasons. Fancy tapping into another market Doug? I've seen nothing as cool as a Whalen for my Impreza yet... Nige, Dover. ![]() EB/W Cooper S, leather, 16" x-lites, climate, sunroof, heated seats, MFSW, Alpine CD. Whalen Shifter, Bonnet stripes, tints all round. Normally to be found in the outside lane of the M20. |
