I'm quite interested - however you would not believe how bad I am with computery things. Are you based anywhere near Surrey so you could help me wind it up?

Hi, I`m in Sunny Shropshire but it really works straight out of the box.
Ie.. Press Button to switch Ipaq on, Either press "Start" - "Programs" - "Tomtom" or just simply press the button on the side of the Ipaq which has been set as an Instant shortcut to the Sat Nav.

Thats one of the ways you can do it, although TT5 just works with the 1st 5 digits of the Postcode then prompts you for the street &/or House number ..See Pic

Another way to find your destination is to just enter the Address
..& another is to simply browse the map if you know its location then tell it to Navigate there.

Heres the Online Instruction Manual which may help to answer things in a clearer fashion than me ...although feel free to ask me just the same if you like
http://www.tomtom.com/lib/doc/mob5_n..._menu_eng.html

By the Way, I`ll point out that although its not a scratch, there is a little mark just visible to the upper right on the lcd screen which you can just see in the picture (mark on down arrow)

Thing is, the TomTom site seems to be selling them for $268, which works out at £184+p&p, and that's with a newer model PDA.

Are you sure the PDA is included at that price? If so, I'd be interested in a link to it.

Sorry, I've just double-checked it, and you select your model of PDA for compatibility - not for selecting which one you want included. I'm wrong! My bad! This is a bargain then!

Can you swap this from car to car fairly easily, without the need for extensive wiring up.
I've got a Vectra company car which this thing would be quite handy to have in my new job, but I would also be using it in the MINI.
Any advice welcome. Ta.

Yes, its just a matter of plugging the power lead into the cigar lighter & positioning the GPS receiver unit onto the Dashtop, although for neatness of wiring, I had the cables hidden behind the trim .
