Assuming it is not faulty, she needs to get used to slapping it over to the left to get it into gear. That resistance is there to prevent it being put into reverse by accident.

Funny you mention this. I'm very skinny (105 lbs)...and I just got my cooper 3 weeks ago. FYI, I use TWO hands to put my car in reverse. Yes, the mini is pretty stiff! The stiffness applies to the rest of the car too I think she will just have to strengthen up and get used to it!

The rest of my gear changing is fine though!

list again:

Both inner air vents scratched.

A-pillar scratched.

Piano black dash trim scratched.

Plastics around steering wheel binnacle marked lightly.

Glove Box scratched.

Drivers door card scuffed (not massive but still there) from foot whilst

getting in/out.

Left side steering wheel buttons not fitted flush.

Paint run on side skirt.

Its not major, but its new and shouldn't be there.
I don't want the dash removing for a second time on a 4 week old car.

3 options as I see it:

1: My car 100% perfect, nothing short of that.

2: A new Car.

3: A full Refund.

Am I being fussy?

Thanks.

I wonder what happened to weymouthfox and his car, I'm curious to know how he got on. Quite frankly, I'm amazed that anyone thinks he was asking too much to have a perfect car. He spent what 28k on a brand new car? Why shouldn't it be perfect. I remember over 30 years ago, buying a Mini Clubman and the dealer found small paint defects. They resprayed the effected panels. And that was BL Ltd, hardly know for their quality! So what happed weymouthfox?
