Knock Knock

Noooooooooooooooooo

i think i have a problem, when i pull away i get a knocking noise. I can't pin point it but i think it is coming from basically in front of me, so in the general engine area. It only makes this noise when i pull away, and i don't know if it is me, but it feels as if i can feel it through the pedals.. I don't think it hesitates or jumps, i'm pretty certain it is just the noise.

It is booked in for 11th of April but it is now getting on my nerves.

Any idea what it is??

I though it may have been the sport button or traction control, because when i turn off the traction an exclamation mark appears on the trip computer near the mileage. Is this anything to do with it, when i switch it back on the exclamation mark disappears. I've never noticed it so i have no idea whether it is relevant.

sounds like suspension/wheel related issue.

Switching off traction will show an exclamation mark - this is normal - just telling driver to be cautious.

I use a mixture of everything, but nothing below 98 ron.

Tiger, i did take off all the wheels to go over the break calipers in silver. What do you think may be wrong with them? Wheel alignment maybe? If it were suspension id maybe feel a judder or jolt but i don't.

Mine does it, i dont think its wheel or suspension related as mines standard im going in on friday to show a technician. The noise sounds like the noise you make on a bad gear selection just before you stall ( too low revs for the gear ) ie it sounds like its going to stall but feels fine ill keep you updated.

Perhaps its an engine mount either gone or on the way out?

ok ive had it fixed, apparently no one else has had this problem as it wasnt on their computer records. It turns out it was a cv joint whatever the heck that is. The knocking only happened when turning right at low speeds, but now its all fixed. And it feels a lot smoother to me...
