anyone had this experience or any ideas how to fix as i guess the dealer wont have it happen if i take it in for a road test!!

PS are rattley dashboards common?

Hi All, think this might be the door mirrors. The first poblem I had with my car was the whistling at 55 + mph. Dealer looked at several things including poor fitting ariel on the roof. Finally solved it by replacing the door mirrors. All sorted and no more whistling.

Thats a very good point, a few weeks ago I had someone with me in the car and told him about the noise. Later on a motorway the noise occurred and he said it's from the nearside mirror.

i guess it could be but the guy on the video did mention that BMW were aware of the problem with windscreen noise!
just a thought when its crosswindy again and making the noise i will try folding the passenger wing mirror in to see if that makes a difference!

I have a June 07 build MCS and have the 'wind noise' occasionally.....if there is a strong head or cross wind. Usually starts making the noise at the legal speed limit or above. I spoke to the dealer recently and they said it would need a new windscreen and seals, but have not had it done yet.
