It is without doubt the windscreen fitment. I had mine replaced under warranty and now it's fine. Had no problems with the dealer and they did a good job. It was a major frustration and I put up for it for far too long, should have got it done much sooner.
Wondered what this was for ages! Its like someone was wiping a squegee across my windscreen at 90mph! Just darent go into the dealership and tell them it only happens at 90mph plus!!!
When I contacted my dealer about the wind noise occurring at speeds in excess of the limit their reply was "sorry sir, our technician is not allowed to exceed the limit so you will have to drive". As a result I still have not had a new windscreen
I was in the car this evening and the noise occurred at 70 MPH but stopped once the speed increased. It's more noticeable at lower speeds if there is a strong head or crosswind. On my MCS the noise is rather musical
Not sure if a conclusion was ever reached on this thread but I had this and got a new screen under warrenty and all is fine now - no high pitched squeels/wind noise
