Rattling Windows again

well, my Cooper went in a couple of weeks ago to sort a problem out with the windows rattling when fully up but disappears when the windows are lowered by about half an inch.

they fixed it... and now it's come back... so, back in it goes for a day !

Well my car has just developed a dreaded rattle drivers side window/ mid pillar. I will try leaving the window down a wee bit and see if its the same type of rattle. Did they tell you what was causing it after they were supposed to fix it, Rec?

nah, they didn't tell me what the problem was when they "fixed" it previously.

it's rattling from the top tho, and only when the window is completely closed. if i open it even a teeny bit the rattle goes away.

If your car is the same as mine, I'm not sure this is a fault. Mine creak/crack - but then rubber against glass in a frameless door is asking for trouble.

Get some Gummi Pflege spray for about £3.50 from the dealer. Apply it every month or so, problem gone.

I would not be surprised if this is what they did to "fix" it.

no mate, they're rattling. no amount of rubber cleaning is goin to stop a horizontal movement of a pane of glass.
