We have a Cooper S Clubman and I had noticed it but I thought I was just being a bit girlie, as I am probably the coldest person in the world anyway hating air con and all things cold!

But now you mention it my left knee gets very cold through jeans on a cold morning. I'm also very short so my knees are very close to the dash to start with but hey, I can live with it. Might try some foam in the gaps next winter.

Hey all, I had a "brain wave" this morning - was cursing the car, had the heat on 100%, blower on full and the air directed (on manual air-con) to all directions (5-oclock position).

Minus 2 degrees C outside, freezing cold air blowing out from behind the dash (yes, the air-con was on to demist things....!)

What could be causing this? well, I remembered that the glove-box has a cooling vent - reached across, fliped it shut, and well, what do you know - problem gone! (well, 90% better anyhow). Cabin immeditely heated up, and I had to turn the heater down to the 1st blue notch to be comfortable....

Now, why have I lived with this for nearly a year.....

Anyone want to try this? was it a fluke?

Indeed, any update anyone? My April 2008 climate control does this. I've stuffed some plastic bags in the gaps, that helps a bit.
