Key Fob Broke!

The chrome ring on my key fob has broken and fallen off! Its snapped on the side, Haven't dropped it... resonantly. Might paint it now I have the chance before i stick it back on!
Don't think i have a chance of getting a new one under warranty.

Worth asking, they may be able to just supply a new chrome bit.

There have been a few threads about the chrome rings snapping off keys. Mine cracked a few months ago and the dealer replaced it FOC. I'm guessing they'd seen a few others like it!

Funnily enough I did drop mine but neglected to mention that to them

Same thing happend to my key.

Called the AD, and their response was less than satisfactory.

They won't even order in the chrome ring for me, but instead recommened that if i wanted a 'fresh' looking key, i should order a brand new key!

So if anyone could sell me just the chrome ring, i would appreciate it alot.

You can defo get just the chrome ring.
My one snapped and fell off and was replaced free of charge by the dealer.

Mine broke about a week after i picked my car up, they ordered a new one and programmed it while i was there. Took 3 days to get in stock

I'm on my third chrome ring, have had two replaced under warranty after 30k miles - you can definitely get the chrome trim separately, not having one makes the fit in the hole a little tricky. Definitely a cheap part that isn't up to the job.
