Screeching drivers window

Hi all,

This may be a silly question but I will ask it anyway, when drivers side window goes down it works fine but over the last few days when the window goes up it screeches. This happens whether the door is open or closed. I'm guessing some dirt rubbing on window on that long horizontal cushion thing seal but cant see any. Its well annoying any ideas anyone how I can solve this?

Paul

Yeah I had this also, but to solve it I cleaned the rubber seals down with some Zymol Seal out of my cleaning kit.

Zymol Seal for Rubber (200ml) 803

Might be slightly expensive though, otherwise get your Mini dealer to clean it with whatever they use under warranty, hope that helps,
Ste.

Many thanks for that, are you talking about doing this on the horizontal seal at the bottom of the window? As the screech noise happens when door is open as well and wont benefit from doing it to the two side seals. Also I found out today it only does this when its warm this morning 5 am it was fine but when a bit of sun was out for a while it started to do it.

Cheers.
