NEW MCS clicking noise from the engine

hey ive being reading around on the MCS forums about this clicking noise on the MCS engine and i took it to the dealers today to get it checked out and they said thats just the way the engine is? the clicking is really obvious at idle and stays unlike most of the other problems was when it was cold? even driving it around all day n then stop n get out i can still hear it.

they said something about the hydraulics ? if someone could help.. really hate that noise..

thanks

it's the fuel injection system, it's very high pressured, the rattle everyone's talking about is completely different

The ticking is annoying, that is the one of the reasons putting me off buying a new S

But id gives the benefit of direct fuel injection...and the great mpg. Loads of VW's sound the same and with drive to better eceonmy more and more cars will have same ticking sound as they will all end up using basically the same system.

So will end up with little choice soon. To be honest initially it is annoying then you stop noticing it unless stationary at lights...and with the new stop/start system you'll not hear it then as the engine will be stopped !

My friend's Focus ST does the same ticking noise at idle.
