Mark in viper stripes - MINI Cooper Forum

Picked up the car Saturday but didn't notice this until Sunday am. The shape looks to me like an intentional marker in the film rather than later damage as it's dead central to the stripe, a clean edge and way out of stone-chip area being next to the aerial at the back of the roof. Any ideas?

its the makers mark - all official MINI roof decals or vipers have this and it is cut out of the vinyl.

I had vipers on my first MINI and wondered the same when I first got it

Strangly my Union Jack from MINI (fitted when new) never had it
